Women Officers of The SBCCD PD

Share on socialIn keeping with Women’s History Month, the SBCCD PD is proud and honored to recognize the three sworn law enforcement “Sheros” on our staff. These dedicated and hardworking women are responsible for protecting students, faculty and staff; patrolling the SBCCD to reduce crime, assisting the SBCCD PD with implementing its Community Policing strategies, and promoting overall safety throughout the campus community.
Corporal Gina Gonzalez joined the SBCCD PD in November of 2012 after working for the San Bernardino County Sheriff Department (SBCSD). Born in Long Beach, Officer Gonzalez graduated from Cerritos High School, studied at San Bernardino Valley College (SBVC), and graduated from the SBCSD Intensive Police Academy. Corporal Gonzalez is one of three Field Training Officers assigned to the SBCCD PD, tasked with training new probationary College Police Officers so they are able to work safely and competently as solo police officers.
Officer Angelica Arechavaleta joined the SBCCD PD in January of 2019. A native of San Bernardino, Officer Arechavaleta graduated from San Gorgonio High School, earned her Associate of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from SBVC and her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Cal State University San Bernardino. Officer Arechavaleta graduated from the SBVC’s Extended Police Academy, Class #37, in 2018 and was honorably selected “Most Motivated Cadet” by the SBVC Police Academy Tactical staff.
Officer Stephanie Babino joined the SBCCD PD in April of 2019. Officer Babino was born in Houston, Texas and raised in San Bernardino. Officer Babino graduated from San Bernardino High School and has studied at Cal State University Los Angeles, SBVC, and Azusa Pacific University. Officer Babino graduated the SBCSD Intensive Police Academy in 2016, and previously worked as a police officer for the Compton Unified School District.
